Il a été mis en lumière par Vincenti Giustiniani (1512-1582) dominicain grec (il est né à Scio) d'origine italienne, cardinal en 1570 et préfet de la congrégation de l'Index.
En tête du volume figure une importante biographie d'Albert le Grand, rédigée par Giustiniani d'après des divers manuscrits et chroniques.

Primera edición de esta rara obra acerca de la Virgen, del filósofo, alquimista y místico alemán Alberto Magno. Ha sido publicado por Vincenti Giustiniani (1512-1582) griego dominicano (nacido en Scio) de origen italiano, cardenal el 1570 y prefecto de la congregación del Índice.
Al inicio del volumen figura una importante biografía de Alberto Magno, redactada por Giustiniani según varias cronicas y manuscritos.

First Edition of this rare work about the Virgin Mary, by German philosopher, alchemist and mystic, Albert le Grand. This volume was produced by Vincenti Giustiniani (1512-1582), a Greek Dominican (born in Scio) of Italian descent, who became cardinal in 1570 and prefect of the congregation of Index.
At the beginning of the volume there is an important biography of Albert le Grand written by Giustiniani, based on various manuscripts and accounts.
The upper margin of some pages has been slightly strengthened.
